Food Products
When importing food, you need to know about regulations that apply to specific products and more general rules concerning labelling and additives.
Failure to comply could cause delay and require action by the enforcement authorities. It is important that you familiarise yourself with the rules for importing food.
Banned or restricted products
Some products are not allowed to be imported or sold in the UK and the rest of the European Union. For some other products there are restrictions, or the Food Standards Agency has issued advice that they should not be eaten. Details of some, but not all, of these products follow.
